What time frame should I be considering for my investment?
Our investment approach is aimed at maximising the likelihood of our portfolios producing above benchmark returns over rolling 5 year periods. Our philosophy is to focus on the level of predictability of a business's medium term future economic performance because the more predictable the future cash flows, the more confident we will be that our forecasts will be achieved.
What does HIP invest in?
HIP aims to be fully invested with at least 90% of its funds in Australian equities with the balance in cash and cash equivalents. To manage the equities investments, HIP engages Hyperion Asset Management as its funds manager. Hyperion Asset Management's core business is as a high conviction growth manager that specialises in identifying and investing in quality Australian equities. Its investment process produces a relatively concentrated portfolio of predictable, high calibre companies with superior growth potential. What are the risks of investing?
The share market is driven by economic fundamentals and investor sentiment. The HIP share price will respond to these market forces. There may be fluctuations in the HIP share price over and above that which reflects the movement in the prices of the assets in which the fund manager invests as a result of the matching of the supply of HIP shares to the demand for HIP shares. However, the aim of Hyperion Asset Management is to provide above benchmark returns over a 5 year period on the HIP portfolio.
How will I be kept up-to-date about my investment?
As an investor, you will receive quarterly, half yearly and annual reports from the company.
